Service & Troubleshooting Guide
⚠️Safety Warning
All gas operations must be performed ONLY by a licensed contractor specialized in gas appliances. Gas work can be dangerous if done incorrectly.
Step 1 — Troubleshooting
1. Confirm the main gas supply is open
- Ensure the main gas valve feeding the oven is fully open.
2. Purge air from the gas line
- Air inside the gas pipe must be released. This may take several minutes before only gas is flowing.
3. Check for spark at the pilot assembly
- Verify that a strong spark is present to ignite the pilot flame.
4. Vacuum the burner area
- The burner is located inside the oven.
- Vacuum around and inside the burner to remove ash, dust, or debris.
- Ash buildup can block airflow or interfere with the pilot flame.
IMPORTANT:
- The oven must be completely OFF, including the pilot light.
- Cleaning the burner area will shut off the pilot — this is normal.
- After cleaning, relight the pilot following the standard ignition procedure.
5. Inspect the thermocouple
Ensure the thermocouple is:
- Clean
- Free of debris
- Not damaged
- Properly aligned
It must sit directly in the pilot flame.
6. Check for bent or pinched pilot tubing
- Inspect underneath the oven to ensure the pilot gas tube is not bent or restricted.
7. Verify correct gas pressure
- Natural Gas: 7 inches W.C.
- Propane (LP): 11 inches W.C.
Incorrect pressure can cause the pilot to light but not stay on.
8. If the burner still does not work
- Proceed to Step 2 or Step 3.
